CHEM 281 should not be taught at all by disqualified and an inexperienced sessional instructor

Summer CHEM 281 course that has taught by its instructor, Mr. O. C. has some problems in terms of course delivery and concepts. Basically the course notes are very disorganized and class problem sets have many mistakes including conceptual and typo mistakes. Some course materials have not been covered by the instructor that are essential for CHEM 282/283 when the class time wasted with jokes and slang words. Furthermore, the answer keys to class assignments contain some serious mistakes related to Stereochemistry, NMR interpretation, Reactions and Mechanism, etc.

So a fair question is how the chemistry department assigned the instructor for the course when there are at least six people in the department including organic professors and senior lecturers who can teach the CHEM 281 properly and efficiently like previous years. It is shame to waste student time, energy, and grades especially for students who are serious to get to medical school.

A low quality CHEM 281 course does not provide students with strong foundations, knowledge and interest for CHEM 282/283.
