Withdrawal under extenuating circumstances (WE)

Has anyone done this successfully? I have recently gotten much worse with my depression and could easily have this documented by one of my doctors... Do I have a chance of getting my application accepted? What about tuition? Will I be able to recover any of it?

  • My suggestion is that you go speak with an Advisor.
  • I have seen this done, albeit at a different school. Surmising things from that incident I would say:
I think it is definitely possible. If you have a serious problem that can be documented, you can most likely withdraw for a time without repercussions. However, tuition is unlikely to be refunded and you will just have W's on the record for the courses you're withdrawing from.
Good luck! I hope you get better soon!
