Is the software systems a good program?

I am starting the software systems in surrey and dont know too much about it. i chose this program as i live close to the surrey campus.I would be going into the second year as i have completed most if not all the first year classes at kwantlen. So my question is, what does this program prepare you for and would it be better to go into a different area of computer science (want to avoid having to go to burnaby campus). Also, what is the typical starting salary and how is coop?

    The software systems program is excellent. The program prepares you very well for a career in software and I think it is the best SFU program for people looking to become developers. Coop is also very good, and is a good way of getting work experience the will serve you well when you graduate. Starting salary is difficult since it is largely dependent on the company and where you will working. I can say though that the starting salary for a software systems grad will be exactly the same as the other computing majors for the same position.
