Yup. And STAT 203 is the basic one meant for all FASS students to take in which they know they aren't all that great at math. The benefit of taking 203 compared to say STAT 100 is that you learn how to use SPSS which is an important program to learn for any kind of quantitative research in social sciences. STAT 100 is more about understanding the fundamentals and how things are calculated whereas 203 is the recommended one because of the fact that you learn how to use SPSS and interpret SPSS outputs. Still math, but less calculations in 203.
