I'm currently writing a feature article for SFU's newspaper The Peak, on rising student poverty and I'm looking for opinions from a student who uses or has used a food bank (including SFU's food bank program). You can remain anonymous if you'd like. What are your thoughts? Are you uncomfortable using it at all? What is done well? What can be improved? Do you feel there is enough money on the food vouchers to meet your needs?
The article will discuss how thousands of students today are food insecure and have to use campus food banks to get by, and will raise awareness of this rising student issue. Your story would be told and I would greatly appreciate your help. :)
