Preparing for MACM 316

Taking MACM 316 in the Fall. From what I hear, the course is programming heavy. I have a fair amount of experience with computer programming (Python,C++,Java), but I've never used Matlab(which is the software used in the course). Wondering if anyone who has taken the class could offer suggestions on how to prepare for the Matlab portion?

  • Programming is the easiest and the most enjoyable part of the course. You should prepare for the math portion instead.
  • Matlab is very simple. All you need to do is google what you need done and functions you need are right there. For me I had to do 0 programming in MACM 316 and got an A- on it. But i heard others that do alot of programming with Matlab
