clarification on academic probation please

So I'm failing the only class I'm taking this semester, Bus 251, and I know I'll end up failing it as well. So my GPA's going to be like 1 probs or something, i know.

But my Cgpa will still be like 2.7, so im not going to be on academic probation right? Academic probation is based on CGPA, correct?

Also, Im not going to get a letter home that i failed or anything, am i? LOL:S

Thanks in advance.

  • No, you're not in academic probation until your CGPA is under 2.0, for some major it's a bit higher. Also, you will not receive any letter.

    He/she is right ^

I don't get why people need to post simple questions like this on here when all the answers you seek are on SFU's website, but that's not for me to judge I guess lol.
