Retaking different courses that belong in the same catagory

I'm not a math person, but as a computing science student, I have to take math 152, or math 155 / math 158 with a grade of at least B. My situation is, I've failed math 152 last term, and thus planning to retake it this summer. After doing a bit of research, I found that math 155 is easier than math 152, and that taking math 155 will count as one of the five retakes since both courses are calculus 2. My question is: Since math 155 counts as a retake despite the fact that the course id is different, will it then replace my math 152 grade? In other words, is math 155 grade going to replace math 152 grade when calculating GPA?
