Anyone fed up with the services provided by Chartwells?
I know theres constant bashing with how horrid the food is, but the service is what I'm not impressed with. For anyone that isnt aware, Chartwells caters the food to Ravens, McKenzie and Simon Cs (to the best of my knowledge, the fresh food at least) [evident by the fixed price of soup/chili, which is really the only thing I get]
I'm fairly certain all the workers there are mere peons that gets a base wage, hence they consist of mainly the most marginal of the population. Regardless, with the past couple experiences, I find their service ridiculously bad.
Today I was at McKenzies buying chili since I was dumb enough to not bring ample amount of food to feed myself. The girl that was two place infront of me apparently misheard the cashier lady when she said 5.04 since she only paid a 5 and was starting to walk away. The cashier lady practically screamed for her saying its 5.04 asking for the extra 4 cents. So the poor girl comes back digging through her change purse or w/e looking for a nickel.
For anyone that hasnt been to McKenzies, the cashier stands in the middle with two lines going from either side. So by the time I was next to check out, meaning 3 more customers have come and gone, the poor girl was still digging for 4 cents. Anyways, I got to the cashier with my chili, and the bitch of a cashier just stuck her hand out at me. I was just wow, in lack of a better word, stunned. Did she expect me to know how much the chili is? She didnt bother ringing up my chilli and had the nerve to just stand there with her hand stuck out at me. After an awkward 10 or 15 seconds, I shrugged my shoulders notioning WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT ME TO PAY. So she rings it up, tells me 3.30
I pay her two tunies and she fucking gives me 68 cents in change. While the poor girl looks for 4 cents, she fucking penny pinches me for 2. Honestly, what the fuck. I didnt feel like making a deal out of two cents, but wow...I mean, you think the overpriced food is making them enough of a killing they dont need to like ye know, steal 2 cents? Or at least hmm, say the price right if it is actually 3.32?
Theres some other shit at simon Cs but I think this is a long enough rant. Basically it had something to do with the take a penny, leave a penny tray. See if you can figure it out

Yeah, they deserve to be robbed though... The workers are real bitches...
It was 10am and there were only a few customers and a ton of employees doing god-knows-what behind the scenes (I could hear them yakking). I thought I'd grab a breakfast bagel so I was waiting in front of what becomes the burger place at lunch, but they serve breakfast sandwiches in the morning. No employees in site. I look at the lady at the cafe but she avoids my eye like "not my problem", ditto with the cashier. So I see some lady at the sandwich bar literally standing waist-deep in all the lettuce she's cut and she ignores me as well. A few employees even went behind the counter I was waiting at, grabbed something and wandered off again while ignoring me. Good work guys. Yeah... I waited for 10 minutes before grabbing a muffin.
-the cashier ladies are rude; especially the chinese lady with eyeglasses
-can't believe pizza is $3.95
-the combo meal are pricey
-the rice krispy are soggy
"NO!!! $3.55!!!"
