Urgent!! Chem 122 Final Mark
I took Chem 122 this semester and I received a D grade and I need a C-. It would’ve been easier to achieve the grade I needed if it weren’t for the circumstances surrounding the midterm. I arrived about 30 minutes late. I gave myself ample time to reach campus, but there were several issues with translink (including but not limited to downed power lines). I emailed my prof (Charles Walsby) about 40 minutes prior to the exam to let him know what was going on. I didn't do well on the midterm.
Given these circumstances does anyone know if it’s possible to get the chance to rewrite the midterm/final for a higher grade? Has anyone been in a situation similar to this?

I appreciate both of your replies.
@TalkUBC - Given that it is an extenuating circumstance that is unforeseeable do you have any recommendations as to what actions I could possibly take now? And FYI I think I was just under the 30 minute mark.
@Shayan4440 – This is a unique situation for me. I am usually punctual for my exams and had even budgeted my commute so that I would arrive early enough to do some last minute review. My prof knew about the situation and didn’t mention any other options so I wasn’t sure what to do.
There are other alternative routes that can be considered. If the weight of the final exam were to include the weight of the midterm I would also pass the class with the grade I need so the prof wouldn’t necessarily have to write a brand new exam for me.
Let me know of any other alternatives you guys can think of as well as if you know anyone who has been in a similar situation.
Thanks again for your replies.
