talkSFU 5.0

edited July 2015 in General
Hey guys, as you may have noticed the forum design has been upgraded for 2015. The new design loads quicker and is built using responsive vancouver web design, so you get the same site whether you are on a mobile, laptop or desktop device. It just adapts to whatever size screen you are on.

You may have to clear your browser cache and refresh the page to see the changes. If you guys find any glitches, or something isn't working right please post it in this thread and I will take care of it asap.

Let me know what you guys think!

  • Looks amazing!
  • @hehehe

    Glad you like it!
  • Cool redesign.

One comment I have is that I feel the font size for replies is too small. 12px is usually okay, but in this font I find it rather taxing to read. Maybe move it up to 15 like in the first message? Then make the first message bigger if you want to keep that style.

^ Yeah, the text is really small in my opinion. Also, most forums have the user's information around their post (join date, location, post count etc). At the very least, TalkSFU had post count, but you've gotten rid of that. I think the responses look a little blank without something like a post count there, but everything else looks great though!
  • @ryan @shayan4440

thanks for the feedback guys, i'll see what i can do!
  • I can read it easier now :)
  • yeah where's my post count? I want ppl to see how many posts i've written :D
  • Any way to do a "Mark all as read" in new version?  I tend to skip over the myriad tutor posts...
  • Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can't seem to delete a draft. I've tried erasing everything and then posting a blank message, that didn't clear it. I don't see a delete button beside the draft either, I might just be missing something that is just sitting right there.

I did write the draft on my phone though, so maybe my phone messed it up somewhere. I was trying to post today on my phone, but my keyboard never popped up... so I wouldn't be surprised if TalkSFU reacts negatively with my phone.
  • @Annie There is a mark all viewed link in the header at the top :)

@Bull I don't see how to delete a draft either...
