about student temp pool

Hi,

Sry if this is asked already but i just made an account and i really need to get a part-time job this summer.

I applied for the student temp pool and a position near the first week of april by emailing human resources twice but the position has been filled now and i haven't heard back for the student temp pool status. Is there still a chance for me? Based on what I heard people usually hear back at around June or July so should I just wait longer or move on already?

Once again asking a trivial question like this.

    If you need the money start looking afield now rather than hoping something will come up at SFU.

    I heard that they tend to rehire people who have already worked at SFU before, rather than new people. So your chances are probably pretty slim, but I might be wrong so take that with a grain of salt.

    My friend gots hookups for BC Place if your interested, which is a good summer seasonal part-time job with all the soccer/football events. Different positions, but if you want to be a cashier you need your SIR certificate (online liquor serving course, costs about $30 and is open-book) and be 19+. If you're interested, PM me.

    Just apply to several places at the same time right now if you're desperate as you can always turn down others. GL.
