Choosing a Minor ??

edited December 2014 in General
So Im a 2nd/3rd yr hoping to major in CRIM, but due terrible planning I can't declare. For the next two sems, my sched is basically empty, so someone suggested I do a minor in the meantime..
Interests are mostly in nutrition and health, so I was thinking KIN or HSCI minor... and maaaybe CMNS ?? (dont really know what CMNS is about)
the CRIM advisor (who happens to be a KIN major) suggests not to take KIN..

So really, which is the better choice career wise ? Im so lost...

  • Are academic advisers really a horrible as people say on this forum? There should be someone helpful and kindly out there to help you, seeing as it is their job...
  • BIZZZZ minor FTW
  • I have had generally good experiences with academic advisers. The trick is thought you have to go to them early enough so that they are able to help.

A minor would not be my first choice. Where are you at right now with your Qualitative/Breadth requirements? If you still have a bunch of those to do I would start with them.
  • You can always declare a criminology minor as long as you have the minimum 60 credits needed.
  • (In order to get access to upper division crim courses for the time being)
