Will I be on Academic Probation or RTW?

edited August 2014 in General
I am currently still on "Good Academic Standing" according to my transcript. My current GPA is 2.11. However, I have a feeling that I might fail one of my three classes. I have never been on academic probation before. If I do fail that course, my term GPA would obviously be below 2.00. I think it will bring down my CGPA below 2.00 as well since I'm already at 2.11. Will they put me on academic probation first? Or will they skip AP and kick me out immediately because both my CGPA AND term GPA will be below 2.00 for the first time? I don't know how academic probation works.

You will go on academic probation first. This is how you will be re-evaluated after being OAP:

Term GPA ≥ 2.000 AND CGPA ≥ 2.000 --> Back to Good Academic Standing (GAS)
Term GPA ≥ 2.000 AND CGPA < 2.000 --> Continue on Academic Probation (CAP)
Term GPA < 2.000 AND CGPA ≥ 2.000 --> Continue on Academic Probation (CAP)
Term GPA < 2.000 AND CGPA < 2.000 --> Required to Withdraw (RTW)
  • Yup. you will be on Academic probation.

If you also go below 2.00 GPA on your following semester, RTW
  • Y U FAIL COURSE?!
