Opting out of certain tuition fees

edited August 2014 in General
I know we have the option of opting out of the health and dental plan, saving us around $200 on our fees, but are there any other fees we can opt out of? For example the Recreation-Athletics fees?

  • You can ask for the money given to SFPIRG back in person every semester. I think it's somewhere around $3. Most people are too lazy to get it back. I don't think you can opt out of anything else.
  • You can opt out of the health and dental plans, but you cannot opt out of the recreational fees. Those are mandatory fees regardless of whether you use the athletics facilities or not.
