Hey, I'm looking into transferring into Beedie. But I am curious to know, for those that did an internal transfer to beedie what was your gpa based on the 9 specific courses.
I'm transferring for the fall 2014 term. I wish there was a little bit more information when I started my lower division requirements so i'll try to help you and anybody else that wants to transfer.
From my experience, as long as you're above the average, your application for transfer will get accepted. I've had some friends that were 0.03 below the average and they were rejected at first, but then they sent an appeal and their application was accepted. This doesn't always apply in all cases, however. It depends how many people applied that term and how many were accepted. Generally, the average for fall and spring are around 3.08 and in the summer it falls off to around 3.05 so try to transfer for summer if your gpa isn't as high as you would like it to be.
Honestly, it's not that hard to get in. As long as you put in some effort, you can easily get in. Utilize your two repeats. Also, take buec 232, then phil xx1 for your writing/english requirement. Half the phil xx1 is standard probability that you did in buec 232 so you can get a high grade in that class since you would have had prior experience with some of the content.
The best tip I can give you is to not fall behind. Always plan your readings and assignments ahead of time. Also, don't be afraid to visit professors. They're very nice and are always willing to help.
I transferred in for Fall 2012, and the cut-off then was 3.12. My GPA was higher than the cut-off, even after one re-take and a course I barely passed, so I automatically transferred in. If you can aim for at least 3.20 you'll be fine. Like Shayan said, as long as you put in some effort, you shouldn't have any problems.

I just transferred in. The current (summer) admission cut-offs can be found here: http://beedie.sfu.ca/bba/apply/cat3.php
The minimum was 3.04 to transfer in to the business major program.
Keep in mind, this was considerably lower than previous semesters.
