BUS336: what is so hard about it?

edited May 2014 in General
I heard and read many posts where former bus336 students were complaining about how hard the midterms and finals are.
Even the TAs and the lecturer (B. Maroney) said so.
What makes it so hard? Any tips?
Thanks.

  • It's not hard. Just don't fall behind and leave stuff till last minute. 4 credit course. Gotta keep up with the work, but it's really interesting a frankly quite easy.
  • True! Thanks :)
I'm actually quite confused about the midterm and final.
I mean the course is mainly about excel right? but the midterm and final are written.
  • The material itself isn't to hard, but there is a lot of content. You should be given four hours to finish the midterm and finals but you are only given two. You need to really know your stuff to get anywhere close to finished for both exams. That being said, the average is usually below 50%, so the curve is usually in everyone's favour.
