conflict in course enrollment

edited May 2014 in General
Hi,

Has anyone had experience with enrolling in a course when a mid-term for a distance course follows on the same day of another course lecture?

Would they allow an override to get into this course?

Thanks

  • SIS doesn't let you enroll if there is a conflict, I've tried before. But you can get your DE exam re-scheduled for $50 you'll just have to talk to an advisor about getting around the SIS problem
  • I took a course once that had a lecture at the same time as an optional tutorial for another class. I just needed explicit permission from the prof to miss the tutorial, and then the advisor manually added me to the class.

Talk to an advisor. I can't imagine they will have any problems enrolling you in the course.
  • Hi ,

I emailed the educational advisor and haven't heard back. I hope they get back to me asap
  • It is an EDUC midterm? If that is the case do you know yet whether or not is a take home midterm? Many of the online EDUC midterms/finals I have seen are take home ones, in which case you should definitely be able to get them to add you to the course.
