BUS 254 and BUS 207 together?

edited March 2014 in General
I'm planning to take Bus254 and Bus207 together this semester, but I've heard that both are difficult especially 207. I was meant to take 254 and BUEC232, but the thing is I want to take 254 with Masood because I've taken 251 with him and it wen well. And the schedules are overlap so I'm giving up 232.

2 other selective are BPK110 and LING200. So I'm questioning should I really take these 2 together? Or should I change 254 to 232? Which is the better combination?

Oh and my 207 prof is Matadeen, no idea how is he so any advice would be appreaciated. Thanks a lot.

  • BUS 207 is really difficult with Matadeen, because all of the homework and in class examples are quantitative. When you get to his exams 30%+ will be T/F and there will likely be a written. Make sure to read the book and have an idea of the theory and you should be fine. I think the averages are low because the exams are different from the homework. The math isn't any harder than 157. There are a lot of derivatives.

I don't think there is much of a difference in difficulty between 232 and 254. Both aren't very difficult if you put the time in. I found 254 easier than than 251.
  • 254 is easy. just do sample questions and you're fine. 207 is not all that hard, if you're okay with calculus, matadeen is a good prof. If you want to wait for more of qualitative take on the course, take it with Karen ruckman. i think bernie is teaching this summer; he's alright.
and if you end up taking buec 232 this summer, I'll be your TA.
