3rd repeat requests- Any advice/experiences? What are my chances?

edited February 2014 in General
I am applying for a 3rd repeat of a class, but I have been told it is rare that it is granted. Anybody have any experiences with 3rd repeat requests?

Thanks

  • Miami Heat will this year.
  • Which course?
  • Maybe it's time for you to go deeper................into evaluating your major/degree
  • Linguistics Class
  • There's really no reason why anyone should be failing so many times, you might have to re-evaluate some things.

    1. is this a work ethic problem? do you just not give a shit about school or this class?
    2. Is this a language problem? Could your English skills be better?

I was told that you really do have to consult with an academic advisor before you send in any emails to the prof/departments... you literally get close to 0 percent chance of doing 3rd repeat courses if you dont talk to the advisor first.

Also, dont listen to what any other people say about the major being not right for you... I've had my share of them when I consulted with my peers, and I got an A- on my third repeat. Things were never better from then on.
