Questions about override course

edited January 2014 in General
Hello guys,

How does the override process works?
There is a course I really need to take so I emailed my prof for a permission to the course.
She just emailed me and said I can take her class but I cant add it... It says: Error: Unable to add this class - requisites have not been met.

Thanks!

  • By override do you mean have a prereq waived?

If so I believe there is generally a form that needs to be filled out and signed by the professor waiving the prereq. Different programs have different forms, just do a google search to find the one that applies to you (assuming there is one.) Then you can submit that to an adviser and they can place you in the course manually.
  • Yeah, you'll definitely need the advisor to do it manually for you.
  • Department advisor
  • jw what course you're overriding and getting into out of curiosity?
  • and nice username.
  • Thanks everyone! I got into that course and yes I went to talk with an advisor.

^It's a Health Science upper level course!
