SIAT grading scale standard

Hey there,

I was hoping that someone could post up a standard SIAT grading scale (conversion of perctages to letter scale), preferably a chart that compares the new standard with the old standard. There used to be a jpeg of this uploaded on talkSFU but has been deleted. The grading scales aren't posted on the SIAT website anywhere either.

I ask for a comparison because one of my profs is going by the old standard; I'm not sure if it's because he doesn't know about the new standard which is why I would like to show it to him directly.

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • The teachers can do whatever they want grade wise as far as I know.
  • Ok, after further digging, I managed to find the grading scale in a syllabus from a past course! Here it is in case anybody wants it:

  • Keep in mind it does say suggested.
  • That new scale is just the standard SFU scale. But yeah keep in mind that it is just a suggestion, teachers can dole out whatever grades they please.
  • I'm aware of that. I was just looking for the standard grading scales.
  • Why does that matter though if your prof can use whatever kind of scale he wants?
  • He said he was going by the standard which is why I asked for the standard. Now that I have found it, problem solved.
