prof gave me the wrong letter grade ( got an F)

edited December 2013 in General
So I e-mailed my prof about the error on the 20th  and he told me that there was in fact an error but my grades still haven't been updated. How long will this process take?

  • Well the university is closed until Jan 2nd so don't expect anything anytime soon.

Grade changes take a while.  There's some paperwork that the prof has to fill out and then it has to go through the department.  If it's not done by ~Jan 8th, then start e-mailing the prof/department again just to make sure they didn't forget.
  • That happened to me one time. My TA made a calculation error in like half of the class' grades (dist ed class - around 55 students) so the TA updated everyone's marks on WebCT right away but it took weeks to fix on SIS
  • Ho ho ho merry F'mas.
  • update: still an F, but prof said it should've been an A-
  • If you have his answer in email then you are set. No need to worry. They should have it modified by the beginning of next term
  • inb4 OP got punk'd
