Grades taking a long time to post

edited December 2013 in General
How long does it take grades to post on SIS? I had one exam on the 7th and one on the 9th. The first class took about 5 days to post, but the one on the 9th isn't complete yet, although my mark is registered on WebCT. Should I just take the WebCT grade as the gospel? Normally I would not be too worried, but I need my grade to be posted soon in order to get a credit for something.

  • It depends on the prof, and potentially to some extent the faculty. If you have a letter grade on WebCT it is almost guaranteed that that will be your grade. Only problem is it is not official, so you can't use it as though it was a final grade.

I have had letter grades appear the day after an exam, and I have also had to wait a week or so. I believe the deadline for getting grades submitted has almost passed (if it hasn't already), so everything should show up soon.
  • I had an exam on the 6th and the grade is still not up yet :)
  • I had an exam on the 5th and it just got posted today. At least your prof posted your exam mark on WebCT. My didn't even post the last 45% of our grades
  • Mine have all been posted... but I still haven't checked any of them.
  • Mine took forever too, but finally I got them all! A+, A, B+ and B :(
  • What's the frown for, that's not bad.

I'm going to check mine on Christmas. It'll be the only Christmas "present" I get. Because it's like opening up a wrapped-up gift and you don't know what's inside, you'll either cry or rejoice.
  • The frown is for the B.
  • Bitches like smiles though, not grimaces.
