All nighters are so stupid. I always go to sleep much earlier before an exam (last night I went to sleep at 21:30). I feel so much refreshed and words and concepts that I studied previously just come to my mind when I need to answer questions
How do you guys fall asleep before an exam? I'm usually so anxious. I rarely fall asleep the night before a final exam (only the ones that are late in the day)
Yes all-nighters are stupid, for anything, but only if you procrastinated (which I sorta did) but for this I had no choice. Two exams one day, but super busy from previous exams, work, wasn't able to prepare before finals week etc. So I had no choice and an all nighter was the better option, as opposed to giving up and being lazy and going to bed without studying. I still did pretty well on both of them.
And nope, no drugs used. That's for pussies, especially all the Adderall Admirals out there. I did have one tiny cup of coffee (which of course is a drug) in between the two exams the day of so I could stay up and review though. Luckily no crash and I still had energy after the exam was done that I ended up staying up 'till 4am eating and watching TV lmao.
Going home though because of the fucking shitty TransLink skytrain not working more than it is working nowadays and stopping at a station for like 5-7 mins when my bus came in 5-7mins. I would've missed it if it didn't come late and was still at the bus loop so I had to book it off the skytrain off the platform dodging motherfuckers, go down the stairs carefully without slipping and sprinting half a block in the snow with my heavy-ass laptop carefully without falling from the slippery snow and not looking back to see if the bus was approaching and remaining faithful that I'd make it, made it, with like 3-4 seconds to spare as it was still coming. Doing that from an all nighter after two exams, felt like there was a rock in my chest after and prolly almost got a heart attack.
@Psycho@iStudent It's pretty easy for me to fall asleep before an exam especially since I stay up so late and I don't get exam anxiety. But for some odd reason I always unluckily not get the best sleep I could and it's always a shitty sleep cuz my mind's like reciting the answers and the material in my head for some reason.
I don't even study for exams. My belief that has gotten me through university is that as long as you listen to lectures, you don't need to read the textbook or study.
What you've heard during lectures will stay in your mind IF you are actually paying attention and that's enough to get you through university.
Yeah that's most likely enough to get you through uni and get by, but doesn't help to excel at it that's for sure. But don't get me wrong, I barely even crack open my textbooks and I waste money buying them and I still do well with just lectures but studying and review for exams is crucial.
In every single class I've had, my studying consist of reading whatever pdf slides the prof gives out. Even in classes where they have "readings" and they say it will be on exam. It has served me well up until this point
