I don't have past exams but when I took it with Hadley, he asked super specific questions, like names and dates. But overall, it was not difficult, he did not ask anything he did not write in notes.
There isn't typically a large pool of final exams floating around. If the prof doesn't provide you with one and a google search doesn't turn one up you are usually SOL.
I think now your best bet is just to study. CMPT 320 is not a terribly difficult class either so you should do fine.
i hear you. I just thought i'd try to find someone. it's not that i thought there was a big bunch of final exams available, it's just that Pearce jokes constantly about those who have the final from previous years ace it.... that's all. was just looking for any help to make the studying a bit lighter ;)
haha i did ok all i needed was a C- to get the credits and i got better than that. but ya that class was a bit of a joke, the questions on exams were way to specific and irrelevant to any real learning. like the question about the video we watched on the very first day of class that had no words in the entire thing, then he asked what sociologist was it based on, or whatever like wtffff?? anyways glad its over with...im surprised he sent out an email saying that he thought the grades were abysmal when he said in past years the class avg. was about 55% and i believe ours was 53%, so not much diff.
Haha, he sent out an email to the 300 class saying "I see that most of you had access to previous exams. The average for the class was anomalously high so I am not sympathetic to exam viewing at all." Last year he sent an email saying "dear annoying students, do not email me about arbitrarily bumping your marks up, or i will drop them." pearce emails...
Lol 300 is a joke. Just go to all the classes, if he says some thing is important he means it. It's all ppts, know the important slides for the midterm and final and you'll be fine. It's really easy.
@kyyd Wow at that email....I think I might drop the course now if the average is that low and the professor is an asshole. I'm taking 320 next semester but am reconsidering it now.
I took 320 with Pearce couple semesters ago. Final was a killer and I ended up with final grade of D. sigh...
He did point out what's going to be on the final and so on, but the questions were way too detailed and specific. I may have to take this course again.
you won't learn much in his class, but you might get a better grade in his 300 with less effort and less learning. I took 300 with him and swaped it in the first week.
Sorry man, I can't go with you, I am going out of town today
I did pretty bad in 320. passed with a bad grade. It was a mandatory for me and he is the only prof offering this course, so I had no choice but to take this shit(total waste of money)
