Transfer Student GPA Question

GIP
edited November 2013 in General
I was just wondering why all the credits I've taken before transferring are counted as 'not for GPA' while the credits I've taken at SFU are 'for GPA.'

Does this mean that my GPA will solely be based on SFU courses? : /

Thanks.

  • Yea, I believe if you're a transfer student your gpa is solely calculated from units completed at sfu.
  • Yup, what iStudent said. Your transfer credits only carry a GPA used for admission into SFU. But from that it's fresh start. This prevents really easy schools to get an easy GPA and come into SFU and take all the scholarships.

Cause colleges are easy hurrr durrr and we only trust the grades our instructors and tenured professors give (ie. no one gets higher than A-)
  • Lol what program are you in? No As??
