If you've taken 404 with Bulatov your opinion on it would be really helpful. Thanks.

    I haven't taken it so I can't speak directly to it. He taught it last spring though and the site is still up here http://www.cs.sfu.ca/CourseCentral/404/abulatov/ .

    It should give you a general idea of the difficulty/work required. In general cryptography is regarded as hard. If you are interested in it though I'd say go for it. If you are just looking for an elective you might be better doing something else.
