what is with the CSIL

edited October 2013 in General
Hi folks,

Seriously, what is with the computing science labs?
Today early in the morning, one guy came to me yelling no drinks here blah blah, don't you see the fu***** sign above your head.
And actually my cup of tea was on the floor. Are not we allowed even for a bottle of water !!

It is ironic that when high school students came for a tour 3 weeks ago, they were having pizza inside the lab.

  • That's too bad...
  • well the signs aren't there for no reason o_O of course you can have water, just have it in a bottle.
  • No drinks!!!!!!!
  • Lol was it an employee? You should report him, no one should have that kind of manner as an employee. But you are allowed water bottles as long as they are closable.
  • The rule is no drinks period, but they normally don't mind water as long as it's in a seal-able water bottle....
  • No drinks!!!!!
  • Sounds like something's off with IT at SFU -- there was some sort of re-organization and the staff seem mighty unhappy about it.  Maybe there were cuts and they're supposed to do lots more work.  IT-SFU  certainly isn't the happiest place on earth, and it sounds like they're taking it out on their clients, that is to say us.  Does anyone know whether they get ANY customer service training?  I doubt it, but they sure need it.

  • Well, you brought a cup of tea, and the sign said no drinks, but you brought a drink so they got pissed off, simple as that! :)
  • Sometimes they lock station u're using if u bring food/drink.
  • They need hand sanitizers at computer labs. I'm kinda germophobic and all y'all nasty muthafuckas make the keyboard and mouse sticky as hell after it's really gross.
  • I would think drinks would be worse for the lab equipment than food.
  • And easier to dump
  • @lakerfanatic You said buttfuck.
