Does retaking a failed course count as repeat?

I failed one required cmpt course last semester, and now i want to retake it, does this count as a retake? Also got a C+ for math 157, but now I am transferring to cmpt. The advisor said that I have to retake math 150 in order to take other higher level cmpt courses. Is this retaking, too?

    If you retake a class,yes it counts as a retake.... Out of curiosity what did you think a retake meant?
