SFU Quantitative Placement Test

edited August 2013 in General
I am about to write the SFU Quantitive Placement Test.

I was wondering if anyone on here has written the test recently and if they could recall any material on the test.  I've taken the practice test (https://dalton.chem.sfu.ca/res/sfu/bkastner/Veso/Practice Test/PracTest.html) and finished it with not much trouble.

Does anyone know how similar the practice test is to the actual one?  Are there any specific formulas that I should remember?

Thanks in advance for the help.  Any tips and advice will be appreciated! :D

  • You sure you're not a terrorist first of all Angry_Arab?
  • There were Logarithmic questions when I took it. Make sure you know how to manipulate logs. Other than that, the practice test covers the MAJORITY of the test. I remember being thrown off with some questions that came from left field so to really be prepped 100%, go over your grade 12 notes in full (as that is what the test is attempting to make you recall) but if that practice test was no trouble for you, you should at least pass if you keep with the studying.

    Hope this helps at all.
  • Oh, and the test was 30 questions, 21 to pass... or at least, that is what was needed for me.
