Anywhere in SFU where I can be exposed to more Korean?

edited August 2013 in General
Lately I've taken an interest in learning Korean in my spare time. Does anyone know if SFU offers any classes or clubs for newbies to the culture itself?

Yeah it's called the Mercedes-Benz and other luxurious sports cars club in the parking lot provided to them by their parents and most likely international students and smoking in the parking lot. Just wear a shiny man-purse and they will accept you.
  • As if there's not that many Koreans at SFU...the easiest way is probably post those "I'll teach you English and you can teach me Korean" flyers up in the bulletins around campus.  If all else fails you can go to North Road and try the same thing or join one of them English tutor places operated by Koreans....or keep watching your K-pop drama and listen to K-pop music hahahahahahahaahhaahha.
  • Oh yeah make some Korean friends
  • Oppa gangam style
  • Learning French without French speakers. :(
  • @Tofu I am totally in the same position.  Want to learn Korean but have very few Korean friends.  A lot of the Korean groups on campus are religious! -_-
  • Work at a Korean restaurant
  • @BeAnBeAn do you come here 24/7 just to flirt with lakerfanatic and troll? haha

@renzilla yeah korean groups at school are usually aimed at native koreans that already know korean. I have a korean co-worker that is willing to teach me whenever i ask but i'm just wondering what i can do after my co-op is done in jan. but i guess i could try to make more korean friends =p
  • op wants the korean d
  • Join K.Storm, it's a Korean culture club for anyone who's interested in Korean culture, kpop, kdrama, kmovie, language, food, fashion or wtv that's related to Korea. You can check out the club during clubs day and see if you'd like to join or not.
  • Also, what about that language-practice thing that they told us about at orientation?
