Sessional Instructor Mr. X Unknown?

Why for some courses the prof just says ".Sessional" on the SIS. Does that mean they are still looking for a prof to teach the course or what? Or the prof is so notoriously bad that they need to hide his/her name so people actually take the course without looking on ratemyprof and dropping it lol. 

When is the anonymous person usually revealed by?

    Come on BeanBean, I thought you were oldfag enough to know the answer...it's caused they are sessional the department don't bother to go into the system and change the name for them. Usually profs are hired at least one term before classes begin.

    They've already hired the instructors, and its not difficult to find out who is teaching what. The department just cant be bothered to go in and change the name
