  • watch animes.....LOL DESU DESU KAWAII DES
  • Lol you're kidding right?
  • nope not at all. You need lots of practice and u cant do that in a week. Stick to memorizing key phrases that you may likely use but in no way can you speak fluent japanese in just a week.
  • Well...I guess I'll just have to make do. Entertaining a Japanese guest from Japan that barely knows any English for a week in a week from now.

Was hoping to become semi fluent so I could actually show him around.
  • Why? Are the Yakuza after your testicles?
  • Imagine all the things he'll say to you and you won't know shit

Just remember the universal sign language and you two will click just fine. Refer to my profile pic for a hint.
  • Also, the "what the fuck" gesture might actually be "do you want to eat?" in his/her culture so just wanted to clear that up also. Refer to Russel Peters for a hint.

Alright, I'll make sure to keep that in mind, thanks for the advice.

My guest isn't with the Yakuza but he does have a high position in Japanese society...if I screw this up, I MAY have a little problem on my hands.
  • wow...that is heavy...i guess what you can do in a week is: spend all your time in japanese, hire a tutor as fast as possible, and starting to make a list where you going to show him, what kind of words you might use and keep practicing at home or with ur tutor...
  • Just fuckin sit down and watch Naruto with him and bow every 23 minutes roughly and you'll be fine.
  • i laughed
