Business Joint Majors
Does anyone here have any experience (or heard from someone that does) with a business joint major? I've always been business-minded my entire life and I'm thinking of doing a joint major to make things more interesting for me. There are 3 I'm interested in:
- Business + SIAT
- SIAT was the reason I went to SFU in the first place. What I really like is the technology aspect and working together with people to create new things. Design is also an interest of mine. However I heard you don't really learn anything concrete since there isn't much "focus". Sounds the most fun, but not sure if this would be a good choice career-wise.

- Business + Computing Science
- Seems like a solid choice career-wise. I've had interest in programming before and played around in high school. I heard good math skills is necessary, which I don't have (at least not calculus). I also have a concern about the "competitiveness" within the classes. I can see how a lot of the students would already have some experience after learning on their own as a hobby. Can any comp sci students shed some light on this?

- Molecular Biology & Biochemistry
- I've always been interested in health and science, but I probably know less about this than anything computer/technology related (and would probably need to take some extra classes since I only took one science class in high school). I'm also not sure how useful this combination would be.
So far this is how I'm viewing them:
- SIAT - fun, not a solid job
- Comp sci - a bit boring, good job
- Bio - interesting, would probably be difficult, don't know too much about this
What do you think?

If you are unsure what to do I suggest you come and sit in on some courses you may be interested in, to get a "feel" for them.
