English 100 Courses

Torts

Would anyone be willing to give their opinion on these english courses:
101- Intro to Fiction
102- Intro to Poetry
103- Intro to Drama
104- Intro to Prose Genres
105- Intro to Issues in Literature and Culture
I've read each description but I can't decide which one to take first. If you could, I would truly appreciate any advice! (:

    I hear either 104 or 105 is really easy, I can't remember which one.  Maybe 105.

    I too 101 and 102.  Did well, but I'm really good at writing essays.

    i took 105 3 years ago, cept it was about globalization. It was a really easy course for me since all we did was read books, watch some movies, and write some essays based off of what we read.

    102 on the other hand was hell for me since i did not understand poetry at all. It's very hard to bs if you don't even know what you're talking about. So if you can understand it then go ahead, but for me, it wasn't like highschool poetry where you can interpret it however you want. Don't even try to google the meaning of a poem since they will somehow find out.

    I agree with Tofu, ENG 102 was terrible. I thought that since it was poetry, it would be relatively easy but no the poems we disected were bs and didn't make any sense. My prof wasn't that good either, just kind of rambled on and on about dumb details over certain words and idk I did not gain a lot from taking that course. you know how poetry is, it can be really ambiguous and i hated that

    I heard ENG 103 was better. ENG 104 is not bad but ehh watch out for ENG TAs and make sure you KNOW what they will be expecting. the average for our papers were maybe a C+? they are really really picky over grammar spelling and little details over how you word your sentences, go to office hours if u are ever confused too

    I have taken 101 and 105 and found 101 easier, but I think its just about your strengths. I am terrible at poetry so I would definitely find 102 hard even though all my friends who have taken it say its easy. So just take what you feel you would be best in
