Worried high school student PLEASE HELP

Beh

So starting in September of 2013, I will be in grade 12. I've slacked off a lot these past few years so my marks aren't A's.... I've passed everything though.

I want to apply for Psychology after grade 12, will I be accepted if I work really hard and get excellent marks in grade 12, like mostly A's? Do grade 9/10/11 marks matter?

  • Only gr 12. If ur gr 12 suck they might take gr 11 in consideration
  • As long as you meet the minimum admission average, which is usually around 82% or 83% for Arts and get 60% or higher in Math 11 or 12 and 60% or higher in English 12.

I got all C's throughout grade 9 - 11 and then got a B in Math 12, B in English 12 and an average of 86% in my other three provincial courses and got accepted no problem two years ago.
  • lmao Psych is like the safe haven for all the people who did bad in high school. Why do you think so many people take it.
  • Loll getting into psych is like... getting into arts
  • Just get a 3.0 in grade 12, and you will get accepted.
  • Look, there is nothing wrong with you plan, but are you open to doing the transfer student thing?

I went to Douglas College, got my assosicate of arts, and have transfered to SFU for Fall 2013.

It was easy to do, less tution costs than SFU, and allowed the oppurtunity to try out college classes, in a smaller environment, and change my major too!

You are going into grade 12.

Try your best, and keep your options open.

You might be surprised by the outcomes.

  • and international students
  • With teedee on this one -- college is often a good transition to higher education.
