Failing a core course required for a degree

My CGPA is decent at 3.34 but I am having trouble with one particular course. What happens if I fail a core course? Will I still be able to receive my degree? Or will I have to retake that course until I get a passing grade?

    as long as its not a requirement to your degree and your cgpa is above 2.0 (i think depending on your dpt) then its fine. but i would advise taking that course again since an F really lowers your gpa by more than you would like it to.

    it is a required course. i haven't failed it yet. its an engineering course so if the rest of the class does poorly i may end up with a C+ if i'm lucky. the main problem is that i took the prerequisite course almost two years ago while everybody else took it maybe two semesters ago.

    better get busy reviewing the material then. you're going to have to pass that course in order to get your degree

    You can retake that course if you fail it until you pass. For your third retake for the same course, you will need permission from the department.
