About GEOG 162, feeling totally lost

edited May 2013 in General
Anybody here used to take GEOG 162 with Michele Wiens? I found some commons like she love this subject but she is not good at teaching on ratemyprof. Also, I've just bought the custom course materials written by her, words on those maps are hard to recognize, so do those slide shows she printed out. Now I feel that it will be a miracle if I can have a good grade on it.

Any suggestions or tips? I really don's want to retake it.

  • Find a couple of classmates to study with?

There's always good ol' Student Learning Commons, for instance stuff on studying:

  • find a map or a compass then
  • I took the class with her during the fall semester. She's a pretty bad prof. And those old videos don't help. She totally screwed everybody over for both midterm and final by telling the class to study her slides when both exams were purely based out of the textbook - which she never goes over in class. Poor girl sitting next to me during the final kept whispering, "Oh shit..." and flipping through the 16 paged booklet.
  • Looks like you should just study from the textbook I assume?
  • @teddyandturtle Maybe she just really had to take a shit...
