Accepted Into Business w/ Less Than 3.17 Core GPA (Inspiration Thread)
I am currently like many of you... struggling to meet that damned 3.17 GPA mark to have the best chance to get into SFU Business.
I know how it feels to be stressed out all the time busting your ass to try and achieve it and even fall short. (I'm currently anchored pretty hard at around 3.0)
I wanted to make this thread so that anyone who has gotten into Business with less than the required 3.17 can post and help show everyone that it is possible to get in with less than that. Personally, I have a few friends who got in with around 2.85, and they wrote in supplementary letters explaining why they deserve to be in Business.
Hold your heads up guys, I know we can do it.
Post away!

^ there's really nothing wrong with a gpa of 3.17. Business courses are marked on a curve based on the class. The average for most business courses is C+ (2.33 GPA) so having a 3.17 GPA would put you a good margin above the average
Good luck getting into Business. Hopefully you're in before the regular Accounting program comes back in Fall/Spring and then people flock back to Beedie and the GPA goes back up continuously once again... ~3.18+
