failed all the midterms :(
hello buddy!
hope everyone doing well
I'm an international student and this my first semester at Art-SFU. I'm talking
arch, ling, econ, and GEGO 100 level
I did so badly in all my midterm all of them are between 40-50% while the class
average 60-65%. I did study so hard but I think the SFU grading system is hard.
anyway, I'm thinking to transfer to another school in BC, may be TWU. Do you
think the first midterm is harder than the second?
please feel free if you have any advice for me because I don't know what to do<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Thanks in advance :)
Comments
Actually yes I didn't do the reading till the last two days before the exam. I didn't read any of for ling and arch. I hate reading, I didn't know it's a big deal. I'm losing the hope to success in SFU. Any one had the same experience as me?
Can you suggest any website has old exams for SFU subjects, just to know what types of questions professor like to ask?
Thanks again
thanks everyone for your comments. I don't work but I'm
party person and hung out a lot. I knew the
main reason for my poor marks that I
don't do the reading. I thought it's ridiculous to read but it
seems reading is a key to success in SFU.
special thank for 112233 for sharing his or her experience,
it really gave the hope
thanks
How does someone fail all their mid-terms while not working? That's pretty pathetic, especially at the first-year level.
the professor made one of the exam (midterm or final) harder so he can get different result. let say the avarage 65%, few 80-90% , some less than 50% in an exam then one of the exam will be easier so the class marks will be from 50-90%. just work hard, don't lose hope
:)
It would be a good idea to get some help with your studying skills. Student Learning Commons has constultation for students, as listed at:
http://learningcommons.sfu.ca/services/consultations/information
including help with:
Learning: Enhance strategies such as time management, exam preparation, and note-taking.
Also, you now now that doing the readings is VERY important. Take some steps now, and good luck.
