SFU Conditional Admission help?

edited February 2013 in General
So, I got a conditional acceptance for SFU Bachelors of English, for my
first choice, however I am not interested in that course anymore and I
want to get into my second program choice. What do i have to do, because
I heard that once you get conditional acceptance into your first choice
program, they won't look at your second choice... Also, the admission
fee is $250, so what if I don't get accepted into the program at the
end, will my $250 just be blown like that? Will I end up having to go into my first choice program?

  • What is your second choice? If it is similar you might be able to just go to SFU taking courses in the major you are interested in and then transfer during your first year.

Otherwise it would be best to contact an academic adviser at the school.
  • What's your second choice?

The $250 is your admission deposit. If you pay that money, it means that you have accepted SFU's offer to join their university. When you start university in september, the $250 will go towards your tution. If you pay the $250 then don't go to SFU, you loose the $250.
  • My second choice is Bachelors of History
