When did you get accepted to sfu?

edited February 2013 in General
I know a lot of people who have just got accepted to sfu but I have heard nothing. Should I be worried? It is only mid February so did they just get conditional acceptance? What month did you get accepted? (Fall term)

  • I got accepted in June with 88% average in my 4 subjects.
  • ^same as me, i had the same average

sfu sent me a letter of conditional acceptance and also told me i received an entrance scholarship based on my interim grades in feburary, and i think it was finalized in the summer?

    good luck!
  • You guys didn't get accepted until June?? That makes me feel so much better! I thought pretty much everyone either got accepted in February/march or didnt really make it in
  • I don't know if it was June but it was after all the provincials and when I got my final report card, because that's when your final grades are sent. Aren't they supposed to send u a conditional acceptance in feb to march? Like when your school sends in your interim grades and sfu offers you a scholarship based on that

maybe your school didnt send in your interim grades yet? if you know your top 4 subjects are at least  above 80 range (for arts) and around top 80s to 90s for science/business, i think you will get in.

  • Oh I see! I'm sorry if I was confusing, I meant they haven't even sent me conditional acceptance so that's why I'm really worried
  • I found out I was accepted by checking the SIS site. I didn't get the letter in the mail until almost 3 weeks later after I had already accepted my offer. Probably got lost or something.
  • What month did you check the SIS website? Because I keep checking and it still say nothing!
  • Dont worry about it yet, only the student with the appropriate courses (the 4 grade 12 courses) with high enough average have been accepted. If you haven't completed one of those 4 courses, you won't get accepted yet.
