Applying For Scholarships

Hi fellow students! 

I'm new here and just finished my first term. I was thinking of applying for scholarships to help fund my education but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I see a scholarships section in SIS where I can apply by listing all the scholarships that I want to apply to. The list is pretty big from the looks of it. Do I literally list all those that I am qualified  for and submit that through SIS?

Some background info (yes, I have no life)
- GPA: 4.1
- funded by student loan
- 5 courses per term

    If you got a 4.1 GPA, you should be able to figure it out yourself...just saying ;)

    You have to go through the list and apply for those that you qualify for. You also get an automatic scholarship from SFU if you have CGPA of higher than 3.67 after 24 units of credits at sfu.

    Besides scholarship, also apply for bursaries, the minimum requirement is 2.0 CGPA which is easy as hell, just fill out the info section, write a short paragraph about yourself, your studies, and any relevant info like financial situation, work, kids, etc. usually they match you up with the bursary funds and at the end you write a thank you letter to the donor(s)

    @whydoihavetoregister Bursary is a waste of time to apply for. I learned my lesson and even spoke to the financial department why I was not given any bursary at all. Despite being piss poor and completely funded on student loans and not being able to afford dorm or move out 'rents I still didn't get any. I was explained that even though you are poor as hell and can't even afford food court food so you bring lunch or don't eat at all at school, it doesn't matter because the people who get bursaries are the ones with dependents and living on their own. So unless you fall under that category, don't even waste your time. Pro tips.

    ^^LOL I got some money from that, but yes I'm living on my own
