Should I take chem 122 and 126 at the same time?

edited December 2012 in General
I was going to take both next semester but since lab is 4hrs it was hard to fit with my schedule. I means it's possible but I heard English courses are hard and I'm not sure how well I would handle 5 courses. Will it be okay if I took 126 in the summer or do you guys recommend that I take both at the same time? Are the two courses closely related? Thanks for your help!

  • I don't think it's a good idea to take two core chem class in the same semester unless you are able to handle the course load.
  • But since Chem 122 and 126 are basically related it might do you good if you take them together at the same time, but like I say, as long as you can handle the course load cause I know there's quite a lot of workload with a lab course too. I have taken Chem 281 and 282 at the same time and almost kill me!

  • Yes take them at the same time! They both relate! Plus the labs are super duper easy. Also the labs rarely take up the whole 4 hours. If you spend adequate time preparing doing the Lon capa you'll be out in no time, also all the experiments are done in pairs.
  • yes take them at the same time. Usually the lab is adjusted so it follows the lecture in a similar sequence.
