Re-taking a course

edited December 2012 in General
I'm sure there are lots of questions like this on here but I didn't want to go through all the old threads looking for an answer.

I got a D this semester in PSYC 100 but I need at least a C- in all the non-elective courses, can I just enroll in PSYC 100 again and have my new mark replace my old one?

  • Yup, but you can only retake it once and your old score is completely forgotten to SFU (if you plan to transfer, this MAY not be the case), and you can only retake a max of 5 courses.
  • and you can only retake the same course once if I'm not mistaken
  • Some courses they actually allow you to retake it 2 or 3 times but it won't count towards your GPA you only get credit for it like if you need it for pre-req for something.
  • You need faculty permission to retake a class more then 2 times.
