How time consuming is studying Mechatronics?

edited November 2012 in General

Hey everyone,

I'm an international student applying to begin studying Mechatronics in May 2013. I've been out of school for just over a year. In the past year I've been helping my brother develop websites and recently started a blog that's getting good reception in my country. I enjoy blogging and I want to continue doing it even when I start studying. I don't have much of a social life so don't worry about that. I want to know, how time consuming is studying Mechatronics? I'm really really serious about studying robotics though I'm not one of those people who started tinkering when I was a kid. I am kickass at math and took advanced math in high school. And I adore Physics and being in the lab. That said, will I be able to continue managing my blog while studying? I write at least one post a week. I'm thinking of getting one of my friends studying journalism to help write for me.

PS: I'm getting a bit of $$$ from it so abandoning it would be hard. I'm poor-ish

  • Mechatronics is time consuming, but in no way will it take over your life. If you want to be able to write a blog post, or several, each week am sure you will be able to find time.

I sometimes find it odd how people thing once they start certain things they will no longer have time for old things. In my experiance I always have time to do what I want to do. Sometimes I just have to adjust less important things to make time.

So yes, if you want to continue writing your blog I am sure you will be able to.
  • You get $ from writing blogs? That's dope.
