  • I took 151 a few semesters ago and the final was as expected. make sure you study everything though because there are many little things that you think aren't important but get tested anyway
  • Make sure you know how to use the definition of derivatives. I use to always see that come up on tests and by december most kids only knew the short cuts and had forgotten the detailed way of calculating derivatives with limits and whatnot. It is an easy handful of marks that can also be easy to miss.
  • Do they test the limit way of finding derivatives? That sucks. It's not used, what's the point of it :/
  • Well, just because there is a shortcut doesn't mean the explanatory way of doing it is pointless. It may not be on the test, but it has appeared on almost all of the calculus tests I have seen over the years, and is easy marks when you know how to do it.
  • I talked to my professor and she basically told me this.

Go through some sample finals and note the types of questions given. Know those. A big struggle for me is knowing how to answer the questions and knowing what to use.
Go through the notes and write down the important concepts, definitions and theorems.
  • There is a new mark added called strike. Anyone knows what's that about?
