Enrollment Shopping Cart

edited November 2012 in General
I'm trying to add a few classes with either an open or wait-listed lecture, but the tutorial sections I want is closed. If I leave these classes in my enrollment shopping cart, are the seats "reserved" for me, or are they still available to everyone? I'm not able to add just the lectures since the tutorials are closed. Any suggestions? I get these errors:

Error: You are unable to add this class at this time. The maximum term wait list unit limit would be exceeded with this change.

Error: This course meets the Fall 2006 writing, quantitative or breadth requirements.

  • If a course is merely in your shopping cart, it is not reserved for you. If you can't get the tutorial you want now, I think you will have to sign up for a different one and then try to switch if space opens up / talk to someone when the semester starts. The shopping cart is just there so you can enroll in multiple courses at the same time instead of having to go through the whole enrollment process for each course.

Okay, I found out I can't be on the waitlist for more than 2 classes. When I edit my tutorial using SIS to a tutorial with a waitlist, will I be placed on that waitlist? Apparently that's how I switch tutorials, but I don't see any option in the "Edit" menu.
