What are the easy Q math courses made for Arts students?

edited November 2012 in General
To fulfill the WQB requirement, I heard many speak of easy Quantitative math courses either made specifically for Arts and FASS students and are easy enough to maintain a good GPA and get credit for.

  • Engl 212 is one. It's about rhythms and metre in poetry. The downside is, you need two 100 level prereqs to take it.
  • STAT 100 is a very easy Q/B-Sci. If you aren't a math person I wouldn't really recommend any MATH courses. Some of them are easy when compared to other math courses, but there are far easier ways to get Q credits.
  • Yeah I heard almost everyone in FASS takes statistics courses. Could you elaborate on these far easier ways to get Q credits? Thanks for y'all help so far
  • Well STAT 100 is the easiest course I have taken at sfu, and the only real easy Q I have taken. That said though there are some EDUC/CMNS/GEOG courses that offer Q's which im sure are all easier than the MATH/CMPT/Science courses.

Just be a little careful, just because a course has a low course number doesn't mean it is easy. For example PHIL XX1 and 110 are traps that a lot of kids fall into. If you are into logic they are not that bad, but If you aren't you are going to have a bad time.
  • Yeah I totally know what you mean with the PHIL example hahaha. Many of my friends did that without doing some simple ratemyprof research to find out about the course and are getting killed with the math aspect.

    Your link is broken btw.
  • mhm, it added my trailing space to the url. copying and pasting the link would work, or else this one should:
  • Thanks bruh, appreciate it.
